Okay then, as you know Bob, ineptshieldmaid has been kind enough to host Fanfic Friday for the past couple weeks. This month I am going to take over as host, and I hope some of you will be willing to host for our little circle in future months. If I have this right, all I gotta do is share a few fics with you guys along with why I picked em, and ask you guys to share some fic with me. PLEASE let me know if I could do anything better.

I liked this one for its world building and being innovative with what sex can mean for shape shifters.

Riot’s close-range chemical messages carried strange accents of complex biomolecules Venom had never felt before. The taste was a clear indication of just how much of Riot must have been shaped by past hosts and alien genetic information from beyond the stars. Venom wanted.

My Synopsis: Venom meeting Riot before the events of the movie. They exchange information, somehow this extremely porny for beings that don't really have genitals.

It was the alpha who had to forge that creature out of this molten mass.
My Synopsis: Set in a unique world of angels where the alpha is the leader of the flock, with a couple betas and a whole lotta omegas. Takes place some time after Gabriel has taken over the flock, largely to protect them from their previous alpha. Dean goes into heat, wants Castiel rather than Gabriel to be his first. V hard to describe without spoiling or going into more detail than anyone wants, for more than that read it.

I have been working my way through the 2018 due South Seekrit Santa, and I have to say WOW. It's a small but mighty collection.

Hilarious little fic that feels like an episode of the show: full of wackiness that the characters and the text itself takes to be perfectly normal. I won't quote my favourite line because I don't want to give it away, but let's just say Dief is the best.

Summary: Frannie's contemplating her life choices.

This kind of fic is right in my strike zone. The women of due South don't get nearly enough credit, and this is a fantastic little glimpse at the future that these two ladies can create.

Summary: They were up to their knees in snow and holy shit it was cold, but Fraser had a smile on his face that Ray had never, ever seen, and he knew, in his gut, that Fraser wasn't coming back to Chicago. Ever.

A friend (the friend who introduced me to due South and fandom way, way back in the day) recommended this story to me, and what's funny is that I had it open already on my phone as one of my get-away-from-family-Christmas fics, but I didn't get to it over the break. Needless to say, it shot to the top of my to-read list, and I highly recommend it (if you haven't read it already!).
