neat new toy for making embeds for my site

So I was getting some pictures for my site when I saw the line IIIF Manifest, and fell down a rabbit hole.
IIIF seems to be a format for sharing images and other files online while keeping all the attribution and other bits of meta data together. Which is neat but not directly relevant to me until you add the viewer, same as RSS is a neat idea but not directly relevant until you add the podcatcher. Not only does it let you see the object and read the metadata a lot easier, it has a share button that creates an embed with all that stuff in it. No more having to remember which site wants which kind of attribution, no more having to type this stuff in, no more forgetting the formal title of piece. Click button, pick your size, as long as you don't lose the embed itself, you have all the info. The embed even has neat things like keeping the different pictures of the same statue or whatever together and the ability to zoom so I can look at all the details on a high res image without having to have a gigantic image taking over the screen. I'd demonstrate but dreamwidth doesn't seem to allow iframe embeds, probably for security/misuse risk reasons
