I saw the Disney rec and had to read it straight away. I love fics where they all live in the tower and this was a hug of a read. On to what I've read this week: a city built on water (13668 words) by Deputychairman Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015) Rating: Explicit Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Poe Dameron/Finn Characters: Leia Organa Additional Tags: First Time, diplomacy and bureaucracy will save the galaxy, Finn is good at more than fighting, but he is also very good at fighting, salt n pepper undercut Poe, a space!motorbike, Swimming, and sex on the beach, Brexit coping fic Series: Part 1 of a peace without victory Summary:
things that happen after the war: diplomacy, bureaucracy, sex
This is a re-read. Politics in the UK has been particularly ridiculous this week so was very apt. Ignoring that, I love this story, Finn's relationship with Leia, the imagery, the setting, everything.
“Phryne. From the Greek for toad,” Phryne said, and her voice sounded delighted.
Twenty years later, and she still has yet to meet another Phryne - although she’d certainly met many toads. Kissed some of them, too.
I enjoy character studies when I'm in the mood and I like this one. I find how I perceive Phryne Fisher changes a lot, and this seems to fit at the moment. honey, we came to dance (1505 words) by opensummer Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America (Movies) Rating: General Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov Characters: Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanov (Marvel) Additional Tags: Fluff, Steve Rogers Needs a Hug, and Natasha’s gonna give it to him, exercise causes endorphins, endorphins make you happy, Fluff without Plot Summary:
Natasha takes Steve swing dancing. Surprisingly, he manages to have a good time.
I love Natasha, but don't necessarily ship her with anyone. This is a great gen story about dancing, being a friend and getting out of your own head for a little while.
